Application Description

If you're eager to dive deep into the heart of your Android device, CPU-Z is the tool you need. This application, a renowned name from the PC world, brings its powerful hardware detection capabilities to your mobile device. Available for free, CPU-Z offers a comprehensive insight into your Android's inner workings, providing detailed information that can help you understand and optimize your device's performance.

With CPU-Z, you can easily access vital information about your device, including:

  • SoC (System on Chip) specifics: Get the name, architecture, and clock speed for each core to see how your device's brain operates.
  • System details: Discover your device's brand and model, screen resolution, RAM, and storage capacity to gauge your device's capabilities.
  • Battery stats: Monitor your battery's level, status, temperature, and capacity to ensure you're always powered up.
  • Sensor data: Learn about the sensors equipped in your device, which can enhance your understanding of how it interacts with the world.

To utilize CPU-Z, your device must run Android version 2.2 or higher, ensuring compatibility with a broad range of devices. The application requires certain permissions to function optimally:

  • INTERNET permission: This is necessary for the online validation feature, which is detailed further below.
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: This permission helps in gathering network-related statistics.

One of the standout features of CPU-Z is its online validation process, available from version 1.04 onwards. This feature allows you to store your device's hardware specifications in a database, which can be useful for comparison and troubleshooting. After validation, CPU-Z will open your validation URL in your default internet browser. Optionally, you can enter your email address to receive a reminder link via email.

If CPU-Z encounters an unexpected closure due to a bug, the settings screen will appear on the next run, starting from version 1.03. This screen allows you to disable main detection features to stabilize the app's operation.

In case you run into any issues, CPU-Z makes it easy to report bugs. Simply navigate to the application menu and select "Send Debug Infos" to email a report directly to the developers.
