Nintendo bringt den beliebten Game Boy Advance-Klassiker Wario Land 4 am 14. Februar in die Nintendo Switch Online-Bibliothek.

Wie im folgenden Trailer zu sehen ist, wird das Spiel für Nintendo Switch Online-Mitglieder, die das Expansion Pass-Abo besitzen, ohne zusätzliche Kosten zugänglich sein.

"Der schatzsüchtige Wario ist zurück und jagt diesmal nach verborgenen Schätzen", erklärt die Beschreibung. "Alle Warnungen in den Wind schlagend, wagt er sich in eine verfluchte Pyramide vor, die angeblich mit Gold und Juwelen gefüllt sein soll. Unser ungewöhnlicher Held muss bald feststellen, dass der Fluch nur allzu real ist und findet sich in einem Kampf ums nackte Überleben wieder."

"Dieses Abenteuer bietet 20 umfangreiche Level, die es zu meistern gilt. Spieler können gesammeltes Gold und Schätze nutzen, um nach Abschluss jedes Levels Bonusgegenstände freizuschalten. Man kann auch eine Pause einlegen und mehrere unterhaltsame Mini-Spiele genießen, die im Titel enthalten sind."

Bei seiner ursprünglichen Veröffentlichung im Jahr 2001 wurde das Spiel hoch gelobt und erhielt von IGN eine Wertung von 9/10. "Das Spieldesign bietet eine beeindruckende Vielfalt, und der Fokus auf rätselhaftartige Navigation innerhalb der Level bietet eine erfrischende Herausforderung im Vergleich zu traditionellen Side-Scrollern", stellte der Test fest.

Wario Land 4 wird der 24. Game Boy Advance-Titel im Dienst und gesellt sich zu anderen Favoriten wie Mario Kart: Super Circuit, The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap und Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team.
