Olympus Gates defiende transporta a los jugadores a un mundo mítico donde se convierten en guerreros de Zeus, encargados de defender las puertas de Olympus contra las implacables olas enemigas. Cada ola presenta un ataque progresivamente desafiante, que culminó en un encuentro de jefe: derrotar al líder y asegurar su pelota es crucial para preservar el santuario sagrado.
Inicialmente, los jugadores tienen cinco tipos de guerreros únicos: un bloqueador resistente que señala antes de actuar, un excavador de minas, una unidad de soporte generador de energía, un luchador básico de lanzamiento de piedra y un poderoso guerrero cuerpo a cuerpo. La energía insuficiente para convocar a un guerrero específico se indica mediante un icono ennegrecido. Los nuevos personajes desbloquean después de cada juego completado. Power Control (originally released on the Nintendo GameCube) has not been officially announced as part of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service, which includes GameCube titles. The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack does include a selection of GameCube games—such as Super Smash Bros. Melee, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and Super Mario 64—but Chibi-Robo! Power Control is not among the currently available titles. However, given the popularity of Chibi-Robo! and the ongoing expansion of the Switch Online library, it's possible the game could be added in the future, especially since it’s a beloved and quirky classic.
