The objective in Hearts is to finish with the lowest score. You must follow the suit of the first card played in a trick (e.g., Clubs). If you cannot follow suit, you may play any card except a Heart or the Queen of Spades on the first trick. The player who lays down the highest card of the leading suit wins the trick and leads the next one. Each Heart captured in a trick is worth 1 point, and the Queen of Spades is worth 13 points. However, if a player captures all the Hearts and the Queen of Spades (known as "Shooting the Moon"), that player scores 0 points while all others receive 26 points! The game concludes as soon as any player reaches or exceeds 100 points.
