GIRLS’ FRONTLINE 2: EXILIUM, the eagerly awaited sequel to the beloved original, introduces players to an enriched experience with a compelling new story, stunning graphics, and a more sophisticated gameplay system. Central to your journey in this game is the Gacha system, a pivotal mechanic that allows you to acquire new characters and weapons. These elements are crucial for advancing in the game, as they can dramatically enhance your squad's capabilities. In this guide, we'll dive deep into the intricacies of the Gacha system in GIRLS’ FRONTLINE 2: EXILIUM, detailing its mechanics and the variety of banners you'll encounter.
Understanding the Mechanics of the Gacha System
The Gacha system in GIRLS’ FRONTLINE 2: EXILIUM is based on a randomized loot box mechanic, allowing you to summon for valuable rewards like characters and weapons. To participate in these summons, you'll need to use a special in-game currency, which comes in several forms:
- Access Permissions
- Special Access Permissions
- Event-specific Gacha Currency (which you can earn during special events)
The odds of summoning different rarities of T-dolls (characters) and weapons are outlined below:
- SSR T-dolls – 0.3% chance of summoning
- SSR Weapons – 0.3% chance of summoning
- SR T-dolls – 3% chance of summoning
- SR Weapons – 3% chance of summoning
Both T-dolls and weapons can be summoned from all banners, as they are combined within each banner. We will explore the different types of gacha banners available to you below.
Beginner Procurement Banner
Designed for newcomers, the Beginner Procurement Banner offers a significant boost to get you started. You're allowed to make a total of 50 pulls on this banner, and thanks to a “pity” system, you're guaranteed to receive an SSR character within these pulls. If you don’t get an SSR character within the first 40 pulls, the pity system kicks in on the last ten pulls, ensuring your success.
The drop rates for SSR characters on this banner are boosted to 0.6%, while SR characters and weapons have a 6% drop rate. Pity ensures an SR character or weapon every 10 pulls, and an SSR character every 80 pulls. If you don't pull the featured character on your first SSR, the second SSR is guaranteed to be the rate-up character (with a hard pity at 160 pulls). Soft pity starts from the 58th draw, and importantly, pity does not carry over to other banners.
