There are two locations to manage subtitles: the "UI" and "Accessibility" settings menus. Within each, locate "Conversation Subtitles" and "Chatter Subtitles" and adjust as preferred. The "Accessibility" menu is generally recommended for clarity.
Why Some Players Disable Subtitles:
While subtitles are beneficial for many, some find them distracting. The choice is entirely personal; use them if needed or preferred, otherwise, disable them.

Avowed provides a range of accessibility options, including subtitle customization (size, background opacity, display duration), motion sickness reduction settings (camera shake, head bobbing), aim assist adjustments, and toggles for crouch and sprint.
