Boerenbridge, also known as Chinese Pooping in Flanders, is a captivating card game that combines strategy and prediction. The goal is to accurately forecast the number of tricks you can win in each round, making it a thrilling test of skill and foresight.

How to Play

Objective: The aim is to predict and achieve the number of tricks you can win in a round. The game progresses through rounds, with the number of cards dealt to each player increasing and then decreasing.

Game Setup: The game starts with the dealer distributing cards. In the first round, each player receives one card. The number of cards dealt increases by one each subsequent round until reaching the maximum (e.g., 10 cards per player with five players). After the maximum, the number of cards dealt decreases back to one card per player in the final round.

Bidding: Starting with the player to the left of the dealer, each player predicts the number of tricks they expect to win. The highest bidder sets the trump suit for the round. Importantly, the dealer, who bids last, must ensure that the total number of predicted tricks does not equal the total number of cards dealt in that round. For example, if seven cards are dealt and the first three players predict 0, 3, and 2 tricks respectively, the dealer cannot predict 2 tricks because 0 + 3 + 2 + 2 would equal 7.

Scoring: Points are awarded based on how accurately players predict their tricks. The player with the highest total points at the end of the final round wins the game.
