Dell's Alienware Aurora R16 with RTX 5080 Now Available at $2,399.99
Dell is currently offering the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC featuring Nvidia's new GeForce RTX 5080 GPU for just $2,399.99 with free shipping. This represents one of the most competitive prices available for an RTX 5080-equipped prebuilt system, particularly as many competitors have been gradually increasing prices since the RTX 50 series launched in January. Comparable prebuilt systems with RTX 5080 GPUs from Dell retail above $4,000. Finding standalone RTX 5080 GPUs for custom builds remains challenging, with individual card prices often matching this complete system's cost.
Alienware Aurora R16 Intel Core Ultra 7 265F RTX 5080 Gaming PC
This configuration features an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F processor, 16GB DDR5-5200MHz RAM, 1TB NVMe SSD, and comes equipped with Nvidia's cutting-edge RTX 5080 GPU. The Meteor Lake architecture CPU delivers up to 5.3GHz boost speeds across its 20 cores with 30MB cache. The system includes a 240mm liquid cooling solution and a 1000W 80PLUS Platinum PSU.
Note: Recent tariff implementations and limited Blackwell GPU stock suggest potential price increases coming soon to Alienware systems with RTX 50-series graphics cards.
RTX 5080 Performance Overview
Our review team found that while the RTX 5080 shows only marginal performance gains over its RTX 4080 predecessor in raw framerates, its DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation technology delivers noticeable visual improvements in supported games. For users upgrading from older GPU generations, the performance uplift proves more substantial.
Current GPU Market Situation
The initial RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 stock sold out within their first hour of availability in January, with the RTX 5070 Ti following in February. This scarcity extends to prebuilt systems, with most initial offerings now either out of stock, raised in price, or facing extended shipping delays.
