About Hazari:

Hazari is a captivating 4-player card game played with a standard 52-card deck. Here’s how it works:

  1. Card Distribution: Each player receives 13 cards, totaling 52 cards.
  2. Card Arrangement: Players have time to arrange their cards in descending order from highest to lowest.
  3. Calling Up: A player signals they are ready by calling "up" after arranging their cards.
  4. Game Start: Once all players are up, the player to the right of the dealer starts by throwing a card.
  5. Winning Rounds: The player with the highest card value wins the round and takes all the cards thrown, then leads the next round.
  6. Scoring: After all cards are played, points are counted. Cards from Ace (A) to 10 are worth 10 points each, while cards from 9 to 2 are worth 5 points each.
  7. Objective: The first player to accumulate 1000 points across multiple games wins.
  8. Tie-Breaker: If two players throw the same card, the second player wins the round.

Card Hierarchy and Winning Combinations:

  • Troy: Three cards of the same rank, e.g., AAA, KKK, QQQ, etc.
  • Color Run: Three consecutive cards of the same suit, e.g., AKQ of Hearts, A23 of Clubs, etc.
  • Run: Three consecutive cards of any suit, e.g., AKQ of mixed suits.
  • Color: Any three cards of the same suit, e.g., K83 of Spades.
  • Pair: Two cards of the same rank with any third card, e.g., 443, 99J.
  • Indi or Individuals: Three cards that do not form any of the above combinations, with the highest card determining the winner.

How to Play:

Players start by organizing their 13 cards into groups of 3, 3, 3, and 4. The game proceeds as follows:

  1. First Round: Each player throws their first set of 3 cards, and the highest value wins.
  2. Second Round: The winner of the first round throws their next set of 3 cards, and the cycle repeats.
  3. Third Round: The same process is repeated with the third set of 3 cards.
  4. Final Round: The winner of the third round leads with their remaining 4 cards, and the highest value wins the round.
  5. Game Continuation: Play continues until a player reaches 1000 points.
