After years of anticipation, EA is finally set to fully unveil its next Battlefield installment. Officially titled Battlefield 6, the first trailer is scheduled for release this week on July 24 at 8 AM PT.
This announcement follows the discovery of a scheduled YouTube stream on the official Battlefield channel. While the listing offers few details, it features key artwork depicting four soldiers surveying an urban combat zone filled with ships, helicopters, aircraft, and other military assets.
The wait for Battlefield 6 has been extensive. The game was first mentioned back in 2021, with EA confirming continued development following Battlefield 2042. Since then, early concept art has surfaced, confirming the game's modern military setting.
Although the current release window targets the present fiscal year (before March 2026), EA CEO Andrew Wilson has indicated flexibility regarding launch timing, possibly adjusting based on competing titles like GTA 6.
Recent months have seen leaked closed playtest footage revealing modern combat scenarios, destructible environments, gameplay refinements, and the beginning of a battle royale mode.
EA has faced recent challenges, implementing multiple workforce reductions, enforcing controversial office return policies, and canceling both upcoming projects like Cliffhanger's Black Panther and live services such as Anthem.
