Development of Death Stranding 2 was already underway in 2022 when Nintendo acquired Dynamo Pictures, as it was then known. The reveal trailer presented at The Game Awards 2022 showcased initial footage featuring Norman Reedus and Lea Seydoux that appears to have been captured using motion capture technology.
