- Unique dual combat system
- First expansion launches next week
NC America's action-MMORPG prequel, Blade & Soul Heroes, launches worldwide today on Steam, Purple, iOS, and Android. With over two million pre-registrations, the game is now available in 195 countries with complete cross-platform support, marking a major expansion of the Blade & Soul franchise.
Set before the events of the original MMORPG, Blade & Soul Heroes combines collectible hero progression with a vibrant anime-inspired art style. At launch, you can recruit a roster of over 40 characters, featuring new additions like Yusol alongside fan favorites such as Poharan, Yura, and Mushin. Each hero possesses unique skills, allowing for continuous experimentation with team compositions.
The standout feature is the innovative dual combat system. Players begin with real-time battles featuring dodges, parries, and special attacks, then unlock a strategic turn-based mode as they progress through the 16-chapter story.
These two combat styles are seamlessly integrated; the ability to switch between them is central to the gameplay. You can engage in fast-paced action or utilize auto-play during turn-based segments, offering flexibility to approach both PvE and PvP content your way.

This global release of Blade & Soul Heroes includes several targeted enhancements. The early-game experience has been streamlined with shorter tutorials and skippable cutscenes, while combat feels more responsive thanks to additions like a dash move and highly rewarding parries that reduce incoming damage by 99%.
Furthermore, the Gear Sharing system has been expanded, allowing players to distribute equipment among up to 20 characters instead of a limited few. New difficulty settings also make boss trials more adaptable to different skill levels and playstyles.

On top of all this, the studio has already confirmed the first major update. Titled Scorching Sands, it arrives on September 30th, raising the level cap to 40, introducing a new desert region, and pitting players against the terrifying Stalker Jiangshi, along with new story content, dungeons, and challenges.
