The Bug Out event is making a thrilling return to Pokémon Go, and it's set to run from March 26th to 30th. This event is a haven for Bug-type enthusiasts, featuring the much-anticipated debut of Sizzlipede and its evolved form, Centiskorch. Get ready for a packed schedule filled with wild encounters, exciting raids, generous bonuses, and new challenges that will keep you engaged throughout the event.
Lure Modules will be your best friends during the Bug Out event. Not only will they lure out Sizzlipede, but they'll also increase the number of Pokémon appearing at a PokéStop if enough are caught with a single Lure Module. This is your chance to maximize your encounters and make the most out of the event.
The event is also brimming with bonuses. You’ll earn double XP and extra Candy for Nice Throws or better, with an increased chance of getting Candy XL for trainers level 31 and above. If you're on the hunt for Shiny Pokémon, you'll have better luck finding Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede.
Expect to see a swarm of Bug-types in the wild, including frequent appearances from Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, and Nymble. Keep your eyes peeled, as you might even encounter the elusive Cutiefly.
In the raid scene, Sizzlipede will be available in one-star raids alongside Scyther and Nincada, while Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor will dominate the three-star raids. Completing event-themed Field Research tasks will reward you with Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event-specific Pokémon.
Don't miss out on the free Timed Research, which includes encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, along with a Lure Module. For those looking for extra rewards, there's a Paid Timed Research option available for $2 (or the local equivalent), offering encounters with Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor, plus two Premium Battle Passes and an additional Lure Module.
