As we await the arrival of Tinkatink, Fighting-type Pokémon are stepping into the spotlight. The Sparring Partners Raid Day storms into Pokémon Go on April 13th. From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, you'll have a focused three-hour window to test your battling prowess, hunt for Shiny Pokémon, and face off against some of the toughest fighters in the game.
The action begins with Mega Heracross making a powerful debut in Mega Raids. But keep an eye out for Hariyama and Scraggy as well; they'll be appearing in standard raids with an increased chance of being Shiny. It's an all-out Fighting-type extravaganza, so be sure to assemble your strongest counters.
There's more to this event than just raids. A brand-new Charged Attack, Upper Hand, is being introduced. In Trainer Battles, it inflicts 70 power and has a chance to lower your opponent's Defense. When used in raids and gym battles, it's a reliable 50-power attack. This could be the key move to secure your next victory.
Event bonuses provide a significant boost. You can obtain up to six free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs. For this special weekend only, the daily cap for Remote Raid Passes increases to 20, allowing you to join many more raids from a distance.
For $4.99, an event ticket unlocks premium perks, including additional Raid Passes, bonus XP, increased Stardust, and a higher chance to earn Rare Candy XL. You can also use these Pokémon Go codes to claim a collection of free items!
