*Avowed*, Obsidian’s latest RPG, presents a rich and immersive world in the Living Lands that draws players into its lore and combat. However, once you reach the end of the main quest, you may find yourself wondering what comes next. While the game doesn’t offer a traditional post-credits experience filled with new zones or high-level challenges, there are still meaningful ways to extend your journey beyond the final boss.
Does *Avowed* Have New Game Plus?
For many RPG enthusiasts, replaying the game with enhanced gear and character progression through a New Game Plus mode is a staple feature. Unfortunately, *Avowed* does not include this mode at launch. That said, it's possible that Obsidian may consider adding it in a future update or expansion based on player demand and community feedback.
Even without New Game Plus, there’s still incentive to start a fresh playthrough. The game offers multiple endings and branching narrative paths influenced by player choices. This makes replaying *Avowed* a worthwhile experience if you want to explore different alignments, character builds, and story outcomes.
Is There Endgame Content in *Avowed*?
The structure of *Avowed* consists of four primary regions, culminating in a secret area and a final return to one of the game’s major cities—though we’ll avoid spoilers here. These late-game sections challenge players with tougher enemies and rewarding loot, including Legendary Quality Weapons and Gear essential for survival.
Despite the satisfying conclusion to the campaign, there isn't any ongoing endgame content such as raids, PvP arenas, or repeatable high-tier dungeons. Once you complete the story, you won’t be able to continue exploring the Living Lands or witness how your decisions shape the world long-term.
What Can You Do After Beating *Avowed*?
Post-credits, the game presents several minutes of animated cutscenes summarizing the impact of your decisions across the Living Lands. Once this cinematic wrap-up concludes, you'll be returned to the Main Menu.
From here, you have two options: begin a new journey with a different Envoy, or reload an earlier save file. The autosaves just before the point of no return and the final encounter allow you to revisit key moments and make alternate choices, resulting in varied story outcomes and endings.
Reloading to a point prior to the final act also enables you to travel back to previously explored regions. While enemy levels remain static, returning to areas like Dawnshore with fully upgraded gear can provide a fun and empowering experience as you hunt down missed side quests, collectibles, and achievements.
In summary, while *Avowed* lacks dedicated post-game content or a New Game Plus mode at launch, the depth of choice-driven storytelling and the ability to replay and explore alternative paths give the game a level of replayability. Whether you’re chasing achievements, uncovering hidden lore, or testing out different builds, there’s still value in revisiting the Living Lands after the credits roll.
*Avowed is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.*
