Indie developer Thomas K. Young, the creator behind games such as Dadish, Be Brave, Barb, and Super Fowlst, returns with a new platforming adventure. Dunkadillo, coming soon to Android, merges basketball gameplay with armadillo-inspired mechanics.
What’s the game about?
Ever wondered what it would be like if a basketball were also an armadillo? If not, you're certainly not alone. If so, then Dunkadillo is the game for you. You play as Dill, an armadillo whose ordinary day is turned upside down when a mysterious tentacle abducts his best friend, Pickle.
Unlike your typical armadillo, Dill can curl into a perfect sphere and ricochet off walls, ceilings, and floors. What truly sets him apart, though, is how he uses this ability not only to get around, but to dunk himself through basketball hoops.
The Android version of Dunkadillo features 50 levels filled with quirky dangers like exploding bees, clueless porcupines, and overly sociable frogs. You can also find hidden trading cards showcasing characters from Young’s other titles, unlocking up to 10 additional playable heroes.
Boss battles are also part of the journey, with five major encounters to conquer. And as if the foes aren't bizarre enough, there’s also a giant rabbit waiting somewhere along the path. To get a feel for Dunkadillo on Android, check out the preview below.
When will Dunkadillo arrive on Android?
Dunkadillo is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch and Steam on September 9th, 2025, priced at $9.99 USD. The mobile version for Android and iOS will be free-to-play and supported by ads.
The Play Store listing isn't live yet, but you can visit the official website to explore the game’s artwork and learn more about its development.
