Might & Magic: Olden Era Begins Open Arena Beta

Unfrozen has unveiled a fresh gameplay trailer for Heroes of Might Magic: Olden Era, highlighting core strategic elements like game mechanics, units, and immersive gameplay. Simultaneously, the studio revealed registrations are now open for the closed beta test of Arena mode, accessible through Steam with testing running from March 17 to March 28.

Scheduled for Steam Early Access in Q2 2025, Heroes of Might Magic: Olden Era will debut with six playable factions, three single-player modes, and three multiplayer modes. Ubisoft serves as publisher for this eagerly awaited strategy title.

The developers recently showcased the Dungeon faction, featuring troglodytes, dark elves, minotaurs, medusas, hydras, and dragons—each bringing distinctive tactical advantages to battles, deepening the game's strategic complexity.

Unfrozen acknowledged initial development hurdles with Arena mode, particularly balancing hero skills within confined spaces absent starting bonuses. Creative solutions ultimately delivered compelling, polished gameplay.

While targeting a PC release later this year, the team hasn't finalized a specific date. Designed to welcome both franchise veterans and newcomers, Olden Era aims to deliver accessible yet deep tactical gameplay.
