Marvel Rivals New Characters Releases on February 21, 2025
NetEase has just announced major updates for the second half of Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls in a blog post dated February 11, 2025. The spotlight is on the debut of Human Torch and The Thing, set to join the fray on February 21, 2025, completing the Fantastic Four lineup.
Human Torch will enter the game as a Duelist, ready to blaze through opponents with his fiery powers. Meanwhile, The Thing will take on the role of a Vanguard, bringing his rock-solid defense to the battlefield. Alongside these new characters, NetEase is preparing a significant balance adjustment that is expected to "shake up the battlefield" during the second half of Season 1. While some superheroes may be buffed or nerfed due to these additions, specific details on these balance changes are yet to be revealed.
The first half of Season 1 saw the introduction of Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman, playing as Duelist and Strategist, respectively. In addition to new characters, Season 1 has also introduced three new maps, special events, and an exciting new game mode, Doom Match.
Each season in Marvel Rivals lasts three months and is split into two halves, with each half featuring the release of a new hero. The narrative of this season centers around a vampire theme, with Count Vlad Dracula as the main antagonist, and it integrates Marvel's first family, the Fantastic Four, into the storyline.
