Nintendo has officially announced that Switch 2 preorders will launch on April 9 in the U.S. and April 8 in the UK. Revealed in full today, the Nintendo Switch 2 will arrive on June 5, 2025, priced at $449.99.
A special Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle will also be available for $499.99 in the U.S., including the console and a digital download code for Mario Kart World on launch day. Those preferring to buy the game separately will find it priced at $79.99.

Interested buyers can currently register via Nintendo’s My Nintendo Store for preorder notifications. Purchase invitations will be sent via email on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to Nintendo Switch Online members as of April 2, 2025, who have logged at least 50 gameplay hours.
After priority users receive invites, remaining eligible registrants will be considered. Each invitation is valid for 72 hours and non-transferable, with purchase limits of one system and one of each accessory per account. Major retailers will also open preorders on April 9.
"Nintendo Switch 2 marks the evolution of hybrid gaming, building on eight years of innovation that began with the original Switch," said Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa. "With new features that expand gaming possibilities, it represents a significant leap forward in our mission to bring joy to players worldwide."
