War Thunder Mobile Launches Open Beta with Enhanced Gameplay

War Thunder Mobile's open beta for air combat is now live! Gaijin Entertainment's latest update delivers intense aerial warfare, featuring over 100 aircraft from three nations (with more to come).

While the game previously included aircraft in naval and ground support roles, this open beta introduces a complete aviation tech tree and a dedicated air combat mode.

Currently, players can pilot planes from the USA, Germany, and the USSR, including iconic aircraft like the P-51 Mustang, Messerschmitt Bf 109, and La-5. More nations will be added in future updates.

Players can focus on a single nation's tech tree or explore multiple trees simultaneously. High-ranking aircraft can be obtained through blueprints earned in in-game events, with the first event starting in early October.

The open beta includes a new Aviation campaign, allowing players to manage their aircraft hangar, research tech trees, and upgrade crews. Squadrons of up to four aircraft can be formed, with customization options for aircraft and armaments. See the action in the trailer below!

Gameplay and Customization

The aircraft hangar serves as your central hub, enabling vehicle selection, camouflage application, tech tree navigation, and squad formation. Each aircraft slot offers options to change vehicles, modify armaments, or upgrade crews. Squadrons can be built using any available aircraft, regardless of class, nation, or rank.

With extensive new features, War Thunder Mobile's air combat open beta offers a wealth of content. Download the game from the Google Play Store and join the action today!
