World of Warcraft Classic enthusiasts, get ready for the thrilling conclusion of Season of Discovery as Blizzard announces the launch of its seventh and final phase on January 28. This update will bring the much-anticipated Karazhan Crypts dungeon and the intense Scourge Invasions event to the game. Just over a week later, on February 6, guilds will have the opportunity to challenge the legendary Naxxramas raid, which promises new twists and challenges for players to conquer.
Phase 7 arrives hot on the heels of Phase 6, which took players back to Silithus for the Scepter of the Shifting Sands quest chain and the Ahn'qiraj raids. During their adventures in Ahn'qiraj, players encountered a mysterious Shadowy Figure lurking in the desert ruins. While many speculated this figure to be Xal'atath, the main antagonist of World of Warcraft: The War Within, the NPC only offered cryptic comments about the Old Gods. Whether this enigmatic character will make a final appearance in Phase 7 remains a tantalizing mystery.
Although Phase 7 marks the end of Season of Discovery, World of Warcraft Classic players can look forward to new challenges. Scheduled to go live on Tuesday, January 28, following server maintenance, Phase 7 will introduce the Karazhan Crypts, a new 5-player dungeon located in Deadwind Pass. This dungeon delves beneath the iconic tower of Karazhan, which later became a 10-player raid in The Burning Crusade. Alongside this, the Scourge Invasions event will unleash hordes of undead monsters across Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. Players can engage in new Scourge Invasion quests at Light's Hope Chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands, collecting Necrotic Runes from defeated undead to acquire new consumable items.
