Authore: AidenUpdate:May 14,2025

Microsoft has announced the exciting Wave 1 lineup for Xbox Game Pass in May 2025, showcasing 12 new titles that will be added to the service by May 20. The highlight of this wave is undoubtedly Doom: The Dark Ages, the latest installment in the iconic first-person shooter series by id Software. As a Microsoft-owned title, it's set to launch directly onto Game Pass on day one. However, Doom isn't the only game making its day-one debut on the platform this month.

Starting off the month, on May 6, Dredge (available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) joins Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. Dredge invites players into a single-player fishing adventure with a dark twist. As players explore a mysterious archipelago, they'll uncover secrets best left forgotten, sell their catch, and upgrade their boat to dredge the depths.

On May 7, the service sees a flurry of new additions. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC) is now available on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, offering fans a chance to dive back into the action-packed world of Dragon Ball. Alongside it, Dungeons of Hinterberg (Console) and Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn (Xbox Series X|S) are added to Game Pass Standard, each bringing their unique gameplay and stories. Metal Slug Tactics (Console) also joins Game Pass Standard, providing a strategic twist to the beloved Metal Slug series.

May 8 brings two more exciting titles to the service. Revenge of the Savage Planet (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) launches on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as a day-one title. In this game, players are left stranded on an alien planet, tasked with exploring and surviving to exact revenge on their former employer. On the same day, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed (Cloud, Console, and PC) joins Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, offering players a chance to step into the shoes of the iconic Turtle brothers in a new adventure filled with action and intrigue.

Moving to May 13, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 (Cloud and Console) returns to the Game Pass library on Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Standard. This cooperative game set in the Warhammer Fantasy Battles world offers players the chance to fight alongside friends against the forces of Chaos and Skaven, with new career paths, weapons, and an improved loot system.

The much-anticipated Doom: The Dark Ages (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) arrives on May 15, launching on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as a day-one title. This prequel to Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal promises an epic cinematic story set in a dark, medieval war against Hell, with players stepping into the Doom Slayer's boots.

Just a day later, on May 16, Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo (Cloud, Console, and PC) joins Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as another day-one title. This papercraft adventure game takes players into the world of Limbo, where souls with deep regrets are trapped in a time loop.

Wrapping up the Wave 1 lineup on May 20 are Firefighting Simulator: The Squad and Police Simulator: Patrol Officers (both available on Cloud, Console, and PC), which are added to Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. These simulators offer players realistic experiences in firefighting and law enforcement, respectively.
