A World of Robots and the Fight for Battery Life

Welcome to "No Robots, No Life" (ノーロボット ノーライフ), an immersive pre-alpha game where you step into the shoes of a robot navigating a world powered by battery life. This game is designed to offer a unique experience, with full support for slower devices; just adjust "Shadows" to 0 and "Draw Dist" to 02 in the settings for optimal performance. Please note, as this is a pre-alpha version, gameplay elements may evolve with future updates.

Gameplay Features

In "No Robots, No Life," you play as a robot with the ability to interchange limbs and body parts with almost any other robot in the game. This swapping occurs seamlessly through real-time animations, eliminating the need for clunky menus. Each limb boasts unique features and functions, allowing you to mix and match for special abilities like x-ray vision, plasma shields, stealth camouflage, night vision, and hyperspeed, among others.

Just like you, enemy and neutral AI robots operate under the same rules, gaining abilities based on their limb configurations. The game also features a comprehensive transportation system, including motorcycles, cars, trucks, and large robots, with more options on the horizon.

The inventory system is equally innovative, allowing you to carry all weapons and ammo to any vehicle with mounts or storage. This system, too, is animated in real-time, ensuring a seamless experience without menu interruptions. Your interactions with the world are persistent, thanks to the save system, which remembers everything from dropped bodies and limbs to weapons, storage, and vehicles.

For instant full-body swaps, utilize "TerePods" (Repair and Transport Pods). These pods can be carried and mounted on trucks due to their limited range. Future updates will introduce other types of pods, such as feature swap and fast travel pods.

1.23a Pre-Alpha FUN Features

To access the pre-alpha's debug features, a physical keyboard is required. These features are experimental and may not be included in the final game. To start, press F12 on your keyboard to open the console and enter the following commands:

• show debugbodies - Displays available bodies at the Smell station in the starting area for testing their abilities. Note that these bodies won't load at game start and should not be used with TerePods.
• teleport (AreaCode) - Instantly transports you to different areas of the game. Area Codes include: 0 for Starter Area, 1 for Smelter Base Area, 2 for Polybius Area, 3 for Big Digger 2 Area, 4 for Abandoned Base Area, 5 for Center Area, and 6 for Vehicle Repair Area.
• teleport up-(Height) - Teleports you upward by the specified height value, useful for testing drop damage and falling animations or accessing higher platforms.
• teleport lastsave - Returns you to your last save point.
• detach (BodyPart) - Allows you to remove specific body parts, such as head, armL, armR, legL, legR, arms, legs, or all at once.
• disable immunities - Removes all robot immunities, making gameplay more challenging.
• reboot - Simply reboots your robot without additional effects.
