Alienware is kicking off June with attractive pricing on gaming PCs featuring the RTX 5080. You can now get an Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 gaming PC starting at $2,349.99 with free shipping. This is a compelling price for a well-engineered system built with powerful current-generation components, a 240mm AIO liquid cooler, and an efficient airflow design capable of handling 4K gaming at high frame rates. In the current market, purchasing a prebuilt system is the most viable way to acquire an RTX 5080 GPU without paying a significant premium. If you attempted to buy a standalone 5080 GPU for a custom build, you'd likely spend almost as much on the graphics card alone as you would for a complete computer.

Dell introduced the new Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. The chassis shares a similar aesthetic with the 2024 R16 model but incorporates redesigned cooling and updated components. The I/O panel has been relocated to the top of the case instead of the front, and the tempered glass side panel now extends across the entire side, replacing the previous smaller window. Consequently, the side panel vents have been removed, with air intakes now situated at the bottom and front of the case. Alienware has adopted a positive airflow design, with more intake than exhaust, which helps reduce dust accumulation inside. The internal components have been upgraded with a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more robust power supply to support the latest generation of CPUs and GPUs.
The GeForce RTX 5080 GPU Delivers Stellar 4K Gaming Performance
The RTX 5080 is the second most powerful GPU in the Blackwell series, only behind the $2,000 RTX 5090. It offers performance gains of approximately 5%-10% over the now-discontinued RTX 4080 Super. In games that support the new DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation, a feature exclusive to Blackwell GPUs, the performance advantage becomes more pronounced.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE Review, by Jacqueline Thomas
"If you already own a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, upgrading to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 may not be a significant leap – its performance lead over the RTX 4080 is modest, although the additional frames from DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation do enhance visual smoothness in supporting titles. However, for gamers with older graphics cards seeking a substantial performance uplift, the RTX 5080 delivers impressively – especially if you appreciate Nvidia's suite of AI-powered features."
