The Hexi expansion transports players from central China's mountains, valleys, forests, and fields to the frontier provinces of Hexi at the kingdom's edge. This update replaces Jianghu's vast deserts and ruins with the majestic mountains and towns of Liangzhou for exploration. New storylines include "Liangzhou Melody," where you assist a homesick musician, and "Paper Moon," which involves resolving a conflict in a Buddhist temple. These narratives highlight a turbulent era in Chinese history that players can witness firsthand. 
### From the desert to the snow As highlighted in our Where Winds Meet tier list, new areas demand refined tactics and weaponry. This chapter introduces the Raging Tides martial-arts sect and the Heng Blade weapon. The Heng Blade features meticulously crafted animations overseen by award-winning Hong Kong film choreographer Stephen Tung Wai, known for his work on John Woo's Hard Boiled.
