Two exciting events are coming to Pokémon Go this month, bringing the charm of Galar with Applin's debut and the intense power of Dynamax Entei. From April 24th to 29th, the Sweet Discoveries event introduces the adorable Dragon/Grass-type Applin. To evolve this snack-sized Pokémon, you'll need 200 Applin Candy and 20 apples—use Tart Apples for Flapple and Sweet Apples for Appletun. Keep an eye out for apples in the wild, especially around Mossy Lures, which might also trigger Applin encounters.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, you'll find wild spawns like Bounsweet, Skwovet, and Delibird. Engage in Field Research and hatch Eggs to encounter themed Pokémon such as Munchlax and Cherubi. Timed Research offers both free and paid paths, with the latter providing additional Mossy Lure Modules and chances to meet Applin. Don't miss out on the Applin Headband and Apron available in the shop, and participate in PokéStop Showcases to showcase your themed Pokémon.
For those who crave more firepower, mark your calendar for the Max Battle Weekend on April 26th-27th, where Dynamax Entei makes its grand entrance. With a bit of luck, you might even encounter a Shiny Entei. Prepare for the event with free Timed Research starting April 21st, which rewards you with a Dynamax Sobble to counter Entei's heat.
Both events come with enticing bonuses: an increased Max Particle cap, reduced adventuring distance to collect them, and enhanced Power Spot refresh rates. You'll also receive eight times more Max Particles from each Power Spot visited. To get ready for these events, check out redeemable Pokémon Go codes and stock up on necessary items at the Pokémon Go Web Store.
