How to Complete All Arata Stages in GHOUL://RE

Mastering the Arata stages in GHOUL://RE is a rewarding yet challenging endeavor. While the gameplay mechanics are straightforward, the journey requires a significant amount of Reputation grinding. Here's how you can navigate through all three stages effectively.

Arata Stage 1 in GHOUL://RE

To kick things off, you need to amass 25,000 Reputation points and reach the rank of Special Investigator within the C.C.G. organization. Head to the Commission of Counter Ghoul (C.C.G. center) and locate Damiro D. Mado on the second floor. He'll initiate your quest for Arata Stage 1, tasking you with collecting 10 one-eyed fragments and 10 Kokuja fragments.

The quickest method to acquire these fragments is by defeating bosses like Eto and Tatara, then crafting them at the designated table. Check your Reputation with Saiyo Natsuki, the NPC in a black suit and tie. Once you have all 20 fragments, convert them into five one-eyed Kokuja fragments at the working station. For boss-fighting tips, refer to our GHOUL://RE Boss and Raid guide.

After collecting the required fragments, return to Damiro, who will direct you to speak with the mysterious "him". This has puzzled many in the GHOUL://RE community, but "he" is none other than Black Reaper of Doom And Despair. For ease of navigation, use our guide on all NPC locations in GHOUL://RE.

Arata Stage 2 in GHOUL://RE

For Arata Stages 2 and 3, you must switch to permadeath (PD) mode to unlock the legendary armor. It's advisable to team up with reliable allies, as solo missions can be particularly tough.

Once you've gathered 100,000 Reputation points, head to the elevator in the C.C.G. building and proceed to the Laboratory. There, you'll find Black Reaper of Doom And Despair, identifiable by his scalpel and black suit, standing next to the door.

Hand over the five one-eyed Kokuja fragments along with your 100,000 Reputation, and you'll complete Stage 2, securing the Arata-Proto armor. Despite various online speculations about the necessary Reputation amount, our experience confirms that 100,000 Reputation points ensure success.

Remember, PD servers are crucial for Stages 2 and 3. Failing to use them will result in repeated interactions with the Black Reaper without progressing.

Arata Stage 3 in GHOUL://RE

The final Arata Stage requires another visit to Black Reaper of Doom And Despair in the C.C.G. building, but only in PD mode. Bring a single one-eyed Kakuja fragment and 500,000 Yen. After payment, you'll be teleported to face the Kishou Arima boss.

Defeating Kishou Arima requires decent gaming skills, involving a lot of jumping, dodging, and dealing damage. With practice, even average players can succeed. Be prepared for multiple attempts, as each retry requires an additional one-eyed Kakuja fragment and 500,000 Yen.

Upon defeating Kishou Arima, you'll unlock the Stage 3 Arata-Proto armor. However, be aware that wearing Arata armor comes with significant drawbacks, as detailed below.

Arata Armor Tips & Tricks

Arata-Proto Armor Buffs

While the Arata armor provides substantial benefits, it also drains your hunger rapidly. You cannot eat while wearing it, so you'll need to remove it to replenish your hunger levels.

On the upside, the armor offers significant advantages:

  • No ragdolling while wearing Arata, a huge advantage in combat.
  • Increased tankiness, allowing you to sustain and deal massive damage.

However, if the armor depletes your hunger bar during a fight, it will start consuming your health bar. Be cautious, especially in boss fights, and consider removing the armor if it becomes too hazardous.

Reputation Grinding

The most efficient way to gain the necessary Reputation is by fighting bosses in PD mode, which yields 1,500 Reputation per kill, compared to 500 outside PD. Killing Ghouls only grants 100 Reputation per kill, making them less ideal for grinding during Arata quests.
