Cyberpunk 2077 Receives Another Final Update

Authore: MiaUpdate:Jul 09,2025

Cyberpunk 2077 is set to receive another update, keeping fans engaged and curious about what's coming next. Developer CD Projekt Red (CDPR) has confirmed the release of Patch 2.3 on June 26, marking yet another chapter in the game’s ongoing evolution. Despite being labeled as a "final" update in the past, CDPR continues to surprise players with new content and improvements. But could this truly be the last patch for Cyberpunk 2077? Let’s dive into the details.

Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.3 Coming on June 26

During CDPR’s recent REDstreams event on June 5, the studio officially announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will get a new update later this month. Titled Patch 2.3, it’s scheduled to go live on June 26. More information will be revealed during an upcoming livestream, where the developers plan to showcase what’s included in the patch.

CDPR Global Community Director Marcin Momot confirmed the news via Twitter (X) on the same day, encouraging fans to stay tuned for further updates. Associate Game Director Pawel Sasko also chimed in on June 6, hinting that the team has been working quietly behind the scenes and will share more once everything is ready.

Is It Really the Final Update?

While CDPR has previously called several patches the “final” update, this time may actually be different. With Cyberpunk 2 now in pre-production, the team appears ready to shift its focus to the sequel. Even so, they couldn’t resist slipping in one last patch before fully moving on.

The studio originally declared Patch 2.1 as the final major update for Cyberpunk 2077, coinciding with the launch of the Ultimate Edition in December 2023. Then came Patch 2.2 in late 2024—developed in collaboration with Virtuos—which added enhanced customization features. Fans thought that was the end of the road, especially considering the game first launched back in December 2020.

This pattern isn't unique to Cyberpunk 2077. CDPR has shown a similar tendency with *The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt*, where Patch 4.0 was initially said to be the last update, only for Patch 4.04 to follow months later. In fact, CDPR recently confirmed that The Witcher 3 will get one final patch later this year to celebrate its 10th anniversary, complete with cross-platform mod support.

Given these trends, it’s reasonable to believe that Patch 2.3 for Cyberpunk 2077 may indeed be the last official update. As the team turns its attention toward the future of the franchise—including *Cyberpunk 2* and *The Witcher 4*—this patch might serve as a heartfelt goodbye to the game that redefined CDPR’s legacy.

In the meantime, Cyberpunk 2077 fans can enjoy the game on Nintendo’s latest handheld console, the Switch 2, which launched on June 5, 2025. The *Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition* is now available on the platform, offering the full base game, all post-launch updates, and the acclaimed *Phantom Liberty* expansion.

Cyberpunk 2077 is Getting Another Final 'Final' Update
