The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu debuted at the Xbox Partner Preview, revealing its arrival on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in summer 2026.
This tightens the previously announced release window, as publisher Nacon and developer ACE Team now aim to deliver their four-player horror co-op experience by next summer. As shown in its gameplay trailer, players must cooperate to survive the Lovecraftian horrors lurking within The Mound.
Nacon and ACE announced The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu during the March Nacon Connect, unveiling it as a first-person journey through a jungle capable of unraveling the minds of those who enter. Players will wield weapons and tools to aid their survival, but the true horror lies in the psychological tricks that turn allies against one another.
“The Mound is inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s tales, with their suffocating and unpredictable atmospheres,” an official description states. “Here, supernatural forces don’t merely pursue you—they warp your perception of reality, destabilizing your sense of truth. Amidst monstrous entities and unexplainable phenomena, the line between reality and illusion fades, planting doubt and paranoia in your group.”
The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu is set to release next summer.
