Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has been rated for the Nintendo Switch 2, sparking excitement well before any official announcement confirming the fighting game's arrival on the new console.
While we still await official confirmation that the game, inspired by Akira Toriyama's beloved anime and manga series, will grace the Switch 2, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation, first spotted by the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, suggests otherwise.
"Experience the fighting action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring 3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices," the tweet declared before its removal, confirming a 12+ rating for the game.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero elevates the iconic gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series to new heights, offering "an incredible number" of playable characters, each equipped with their own signature abilities, transformations, and techniques.
In our IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review, we rated it 7/10, stating: "Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a final flash from the past, sometimes to a fault, but the feeling of traveling back to a simpler time when games didn’t have to be balanced or competitive to be fun is still a good one."
Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders opened on April 24, maintaining a price of $449.99 — and they sold out as quickly as anticipated. On the same day, Nintendo warned U.S. customers who pre-ordered through the My Nintendo Store that release date delivery was not guaranteed due to overwhelming demand.
