Final Fantasy XIV Mobile represents the mobile evolution of Square Enix's acclaimed MMORPG, which famously transformed from a commercial failure into one of gaming's greatest redemption stories. Recent activity on the Chinese iOS App Store suggests the game could arrive as soon as August 29th.
Originally launched in 2010 to widespread criticism, Final Fantasy XIV's initial reception was so poor that Square Enix temporarily withdrew it for extensive redevelopment. This resulted in the massively improved Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, which revitalized the franchise.
