At the time of this publication, some U.S. Apple users might encounter difficulties finding Fortnite through the App Store's search function, though Epic assures that this issue will be resolved "soon." In the meantime, you can access its revived store page by clicking here. For users in the E.U., Fortnite is now also available for download via the Epic Games Store and AltStore.
The return of Fortnite to iOS devices like the iPhone and iPad marks the conclusion of a long-standing conflict between Epic and Apple. The tension began in August 2020 when both Google and Apple removed Fortnite from their digital stores following Epic's update that reduced V-Bucks prices and introduced a direct payment system. Epic cited "exorbitant" store fees from Apple and Google as the reason for their move.
The ensuing legal battle, which lasted years, kept Fortnite off official storefronts, leaving millions of players unable to enjoy the game on their Apple and Google devices. The situation changed in April when Epic CEO Tim Sweeney announced Fortnite's return to the iOS App Store for early May, following a ruling from a U.S. Federal District Court in California. A last-minute delay due to ongoing issues with Apple pushed back the return, but now, after five years, Fortnite is accessible once again on iOS devices.
Players who download Fortnite on their Apple devices can now choose to purchase V-Bucks either through the Epic Games Store or via in-app purchases. For example, those opting for the 2,800 V-Bucks pack priced at $22.99 can send the payment directly to Epic and receive a 20% rebate, equivalent to $4.60, to be used on other Epic offerings.

Players discovered ways to make the bot say profanities, leading the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) to file an unfair labor practice charge against Epic just yesterday.
