Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered elevates the thrill of its action-packed gameplay while also offering extensive customization options for weapons and outfits. Whether you're looking to stealthily navigate around machines or engage in intense melee or ranged combat, tailoring your outfits can significantly enhance your gameplay experience.
At times, you might find yourself wishing to harness the benefits of multiple outfits simultaneously. Fortunately, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered makes this possible, though with certain caveats. Let's dive into how you can achieve this synergy.
Remastered Version Of Horizon Zero Dawn Required
To enjoy the dual outfit effects in Horizon Zero Dawn, you'll need the Remastered version. A recent update introduced the transmog feature, allowing you to maintain the stats of one outfit while donning the appearance of another. Say goodbye to sacrificing style for performance!
Pre-Requisite For The Two Outfit Method
To utilize the effects of two outfits, there are some prerequisites to consider. Not all outfits can be combined in this way. While you can choose any outfit for your primary stats, the secondary outfit for its unique perk must be one of these three:
- Banuk Werak Runner
- Banuk Werak Chieftain
- Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept (available only in New Game Plus)
These outfits are accessible in the Frozen Wilds DLC area, so you won't need to complete the base game to unlock them.
How To Get Banuk Werak Outfits In Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered
Banuk Werak Runner
Start by accessing the expansion area after defeating a new machine. If you find this challenging, consider lowering the difficulty or upgrading your gear. Once in the area, find a Bluegleam Merchant (marked by a blue Merchant icon) and purchase the Banuk Werak Runner outfit.
| Resources | Normal Cost | Ultra Hard Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Metal Shards | 1000 | 5000 |
| Desert Glass | 10 | 20 |
| Slagshine Glass | 10 | 20 |
Banuk Werak Chieftain & Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept
For the Banuk Werak Chieftain, which is more advantageous, complete the "For the Werak" quest, the third main quest in the Frozen Wilds DLC. Equip your best gear for this challenging mission, or switch to Story mode for an easier run. The Adept version is obtainable in New Game Plus using the same method.
After obtaining the second outfit, you're ready to proceed. You don't need to continue with the Frozen Wilds content if you choose not to.
What To Do To Get the Effects Of Two Outfits
Begin by equipping your preferred outfit, focusing on the stats you need. Enhance these stats further with Weaves. Then, use the transmog feature to overlay the appearance of one of the Banuk Werak outfits. Although these outfits don't add extra stats, they provide an auto-healing perk after sustaining damage for a period.
This approach lets you retain your chosen outfit's stats while benefiting from the auto-healing feature of the Banuk Werak outfits. If your primary outfit is the Shield Weaver, you'll be nearly invincible, taking minimal damage and benefiting from the healing perk of the Banuk Werak outfits when needed.
The Chieftain and Chieftain Adept outfits have a quicker healing activation compared to the Banuk Werak Runner, making them preferable if available.
