Pikmin Bloom is marking its 4th Anniversary next month, prompting Niantic to introduce a variety of fresh missions. Meanwhile, Ice Pikmin are making their frosty debut, offering you an invigorating new reason to venture outdoors.
Let’s talk about Ice first
From November 1st onwards, Ice Pikmin will officially appear in the game. You can locate them by gathering blue seedlings, currently limited to Restaurant and Roadside locations.
Once matured and befriended, they evolve into Chef Hat Decor Pikmin at Restaurants and Sticker or Coin Decor Pikmin at Roadside spots. Additionally, there is a rare Decor variation available for all Coin Decor Pikmin.
All players will receive an introductory mission to walk 100 steps, rewarding you with a seedling to hatch your first Ice Pikmin. Completing this unlocks two further missions at 2,000 and 3,000 steps respectively. Finishing these tasks earns you themed Mii items, such as an Ice Pikmin Beanie and a printed T-shirt featuring the character.

Pikmin Bloom 4th anniversary missions -------------------------------------The 4th Anniversary Flower Box celebration introduces a new monthly Decor for Ice Pikmin. The special 4th Anniversary Flower Box Decor Pikmin will take center stage in the event. Fan favorites like the 3rd Anniversary Cupcake and the Puzzle: Autumn Memories 2021 Decor Pikmin are also making a return.
You can tackle Event Challenge missions to receive random rewards, including Bright Flowers, seedlings for 4th Anniversary Flower Box Decor Pikmin, and flower petals. When the Big Flower at the stage's center blooms, you are guaranteed to receive a Gold Seedling along with any random drops.
