Following weeks of anticipation and player queries, the development team behind Infinity Nikki has finally addressed the concerns surrounding the controversial rollout of Version 1.5. As gamers witnessed firsthand, the update felt rushed and incomplete, leaving many dissatisfied. Acknowledging these issues, the team confessed they were unprepared for the launch, leading to the decision to push back Version 1.6.
When Will Version 1.6 Be Released?
Originally scheduled for June 4th, Version 1.6 has been postponed to June 12th. In the meantime, the ongoing Bubble Season will continue, keeping popular events such as Chase the Bubbles, Rainbow Album, and Where Are the Gifties? active until the update drops. Additionally, stores like Pear-Pal Selected/Store: Clothing, Heartfelt Gifts, and the Shake Up Bubble Jar! top-up event remain open until June 12th. Weekly challenges like Starlit Pursuit, initially planned for May 20th, have also been rescheduled for Version 1.6.
In response to the delay, the developers have issued an apology and confirmed efforts to address platform-specific performance issues, particularly on PlayStation. They reassured players that storylines like Threads of Reunion, which had caused frustration, are still intact and simply postponed.
Beyond the Version 1.6 Delay, What’s Happening with Infinity Nikki?
Players have been inundated with bugs, broken quests, and malfunctioning co-op features, prompting dissatisfaction. To mitigate these issues, the team is offering compensation in the form of 120 Diamonds and 1 Crystal per day from June 5th to June 12th. However, players must log in daily to claim these rewards.
Some critics view this gesture as an attempt to salvage engagement metrics following the missteps of Version 1.5. Adding fuel to the fire, promotional banners for new outfits began appearing almost immediately after the apology, causing disappointment among the community.
