First announced in June 2024 with just a teaser and title, Kaiju No. 8 The Game has officially opened global pre-registrations. Following months of anticipation, fans can finally prepare to experience this new Kaiju-slaying RPG coming to mobile and PC platforms.
Developed through collaboration between Akatsuki Games, TOHO, and Production I.G., the game promises to faithfully adapt Naoya Matsumoto's world with cinematic visuals and authentic character portrayals. Pre-registration is available on App Store, Google Play, and Steam alongside a gameplay trailer showcasing the upcoming experience.
The game blends cinematic presentation with innovative turn-based combat mechanics. Players will execute powerful Ultimate Moves when targeting exposed Kaiju cores while commanding fan-favorite Defense Force members including Mina Ashiro, Soshiro Hoshina, and Kikoru Shinomiya.
Each character has been meticulously recreated in 3D with their signature abilities directly inspired by the anime. The combat system emphasizes tactical team synergy and spectacular finishing moves to recreate the anime's dynamic battles.
