LEGO Unveils Jango Fett's Starship, New Star Wars Sets Before May the Fourth

Authore: JoshuaUpdate:May 29,2025

LEGO has announced nine exciting new Star Wars sets, all set to launch on May 1, 2025. These releases coincide with Disney's annual May the 4th celebration (better known as Star Wars Day), during which LEGO usually unveils a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship. Last year, it was the iconic TIE Interceptor, while the year before featured Luke's X-Wing Starfighter.

This year, the highlight is Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, widely recognized among fans as Slave I. The name change, introduced in 2021 at Disney's request, reflects sensitivity regarding the term "slave." LEGO has confirmed that this adjustment remains permanent.

The previous large-scale version of this LEGO model dates back to 2019, featuring 1007 pieces and replicating the ship as seen in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. This updated version, with 2970 pieces, portrays the ship from Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones. It boasts nearly triple the piece count of its predecessor and measures 7.5 inches tall, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
