Memorial Day Sales: Upgrade Your Gaming Office Setup Now

Authore: AndrewUpdate:Jun 29,2025

This Memorial Day weekend, I’m finally taking the plunge and upgrading my gaming setup after years of putting it off. With rising concerns about tariffs and potential price hikes in the U.S., now feels like the perfect time to make those long-awaited purchases before costs go up. Whether it’s a new chair, desk, or even a fresh PC, there's no better time than during these major holiday sales to invest in your gaming environment.

Start with the Wayfair Memorial Day Sale

When it comes to furniture deals for your office or gaming space, the Wayfair Memorial Day sale has been one of the most user-friendly options so far. The site is packed with thousands of home and office discounts, making it an ideal starting point. You can easily filter by Memorial Day deals only, and further refine your search by dimensions, material, color, and price range. While browsing, I’ve had my eye on a new office chair, desk, and a stylish bookcase to store my ever-growing game collection.

Although Amazon often has the broadest selection of products, Wayfair definitely wins when it comes to variety and ease of navigation for furniture categories. Even if you end up purchasing elsewhere, it’s still a great place to explore options and get a clear idea of what you want for your space. I've personally purchased several items from Wayfair before—like bookshelves, rugs, and tables—and have found their prices and customer service to be consistently reliable.

Splurge on Comfort Only

If you're overhauling your entire workspace or gaming station, I highly recommend prioritizing comfort—and that starts with your chair. It's the one item worth splurging on, especially if you plan to spend long hours sitting while working or gaming. My current chair is literally held together by a pair of sweatpants (yes, really), so any upgrade will be a massive improvement. I'm currently torn between a dedicated gaming chair and a high-end office chair, but after checking out IGN’s list of top gaming chairs, I’ve become very interested in the Secretlab Titan Evo. Especially since there’s currently a Secretlab Memorial Day sale going on.

Get Your Accessories at Amazon

Once the core pieces are taken care of, it’s time to personalize your space. This includes RGB lighting strips, mouse pads, laptop stands, headset holders, Steam Deck docks, and more—those little extras that truly bring your battle station to life. For accessories like these, Amazon has consistently offered the best deals across a wide range of products. Sure, Wayfair might have some novelty items like a Darth Vader cutout on sale, but for functional and customizable gear, Amazon is where it’s at.

Upgrade Your Gaming PC While You Can

I’ll admit—I don’t currently own a powerful gaming PC and budget constraints mean I won’t be buying one anytime soon. At the moment, I rely on my Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch for portable gaming, which works well for mobility but lacks the visual fidelity and performance of a high-end rig. As much as I’d love to build a new system around an RTX 5090, rising GPU prices and the potential release of a new Switch model make that dream less feasible right now.

However, if you’re in the market for a new gaming laptop or desktop, Memorial Day is an excellent opportunity to snag a deal. The Dell Memorial Day sale is a great place to start, but there are also solid discounts available through HP, Lenovo, Best Buy, and other major retailers.
