Monster Hunter Now has launched its much-anticipated 2025 Spring Festival event, bringing a fresh wave of excitement to the game. Running from April 14th through April 27th, this limited-time update introduces new monsters, exclusive gear, and engaging in-game activities designed to keep players on their toes.
Who’s the New Monster?
The star of the show this season is none other than Ebony Odogaron — a menacing new variant that's far more aggressive than its standard counterpart. Easily identified by the black smoke constantly oozing from its mouth, Ebony Odogaron isn't just a visual twist; it’s a tougher, more unpredictable foe. Unlike regular Odogaron, this one roams freely across diverse biomes including forests, deserts, swamps, and tundras, making encounters more frequent and intense. With a wider roaming range and an overall nastier disposition, hunters should be prepared for a serious challenge.
During the Monster Hunter Now Spring Festival 2025, you’ll also come face-to-face with Kulu-Ya-Ku and several familiar foes as part of the event quests. These hunts are not only thrilling but also rewarding, offering opportunities to collect valuable resources and event-specific items.
Eggs, Rewards & Event Mechanics
A key part of the celebration involves collecting Spring Eggs and Rainbow Eggs. These can be obtained by defeating monsters or participating in Hunt-a-thons. Once gathered, they can be exchanged at the Event Exchange Hub for a variety of exclusive items, making them essential to maximizing your rewards.
On April 18th, the festivities level up even further with the introduction of Giant Egg Toys. These oversized eggs appear during Hunt-a-thons and, when destroyed, drop a large number of exchangeable eggs—perfect for players aiming to stock up quickly.
Special Quests & Exclusive Rewards
Throughout the event period, limited-time quests will be available, each offering unique rewards upon completion. Players who complete these missions can earn the Spring Festival 2025 medal, a custom Guild Card background, and special tickets for Spring 2025 armor and weapons — all highly coveted collectibles within the Monster Hunter community.
Spring-Themed Equipment Packs
In addition to quest rewards, there are also seasonal equipment packs available, giving players a chance to upgrade their loadouts with festive flair. Whether you're hunting solo or teaming up with friends, these themed items add a fun twist to your gameplay experience.
