He's definitely the man for the job! Fans have finally received their first look at Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man in the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie, which recently completed production.
The film's official social media channels shared a teaser image on June 15 showing Galitzine in full costume—though strategically shot from behind and bathed in shadows to maintain some mystery. The post revealed that Galitzine had finished filming and included a heartfelt message from the actor himself.
"That's a wrap on Masters of the Universe. It's been an incredible honor to take on the roles of Adam and He-Man," he shared. "This has been the opportunity of a lifetime, and I gave it everything. While I can't show much yet, I'm immensely proud of what we've created. Huge thanks to our phenomenal cast and crew for their dedication."
Galitzine clearly dedicated himself entirely to this role. Earlier this year, he revealed the intense physical transformation required, telling W magazine, "I'm consuming around 4,000 calories daily, but with the strenuous training, I still end up surprisingly hungry."
Galitzine plays Prince Adam of Eternia and his heroic alter ego, He-Man. The star-studded cast also features Camila Mendes, Alison Brie, Jared Leto, and Idris Elba. Directed by Travis Knight (Bumblebee) with a screenplay by Chris Butler (ParaNorman), the film is slated for release next summer.
