Nintendo Switch 2 Logo Allegedly Leaks

A purported Nintendo Switch 2 logo has surfaced online, potentially confirming the console's official name. Rumors and leaks surrounding Nintendo's next-generation console have been circulating since early 2024, when President Shuntaro Furukawa acknowledged its existence. A pre-March 2025 unveiling is anticipated, with a launch expected later in the year.

The timing of the console's release has been a subject of much speculation since Furukawa's May 2024 announcement, but Nintendo has remained largely silent. While the name "Nintendo Switch 2" isn't officially confirmed, most leaks point towards it. Many also suggest a design similar to the original Switch, hinting at a direct successor.

According to Comicbook, Universo Nintendo's Necro Felipe shared a leaked logo on Bluesky. This logo closely resembles the original Switch logo, featuring the stylized Joy-Con controllers above "Nintendo Switch," with the only difference being a "2" added beside the Joy-Cons. This strongly suggests "Nintendo Switch 2" as the official name.

Is it Really the Switch 2?

The logo's authenticity remains unverified, and some question the "Nintendo Switch 2" moniker. Nintendo's history includes consoles with names significantly different from their predecessors (e.g., Wii U). The Wii U's unconventional name is speculated to have negatively impacted sales, potentially prompting a more straightforward approach with the Switch 2.

Previous leaks appear to corroborate the logo and name shared by Necro Felipe. However, gamers should treat all current rumors as unconfirmed until the official reveal. Another recent social media post hints at a potentially imminent unveiling of the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2.
