May 2025 is set to be an exhilarating month for Pokémon GO players, packed with exciting events and the highly anticipated return of the Lake Trio. The month promises a variety of activities that cater to trainers worldwide.
What Does Pokémon GO Have in Store for May 2025?
Kicking off the month, Tapu Fini will make its appearance in Five-Star raids from May 1st to May 12th, bringing along the special move Nature's Madness and the chance to encounter its Shiny form.
Following that, starting May 12th, the Lake Trio will grace the game in a regional tour. Trainers in the Asia-Pacific region will have the opportunity to encounter Uxie, while those in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, or India can challenge Mesprit. Meanwhile, players in the Americas or Greenland will be able to battle Azelf.
After the Lake Trio's stint, Tapu Bulu will take over the Five-Star raids from May 25th to June 3rd, 2025, also featuring Nature's Madness and a Shiny variant.
For those interested in Mega Raids, May offers an impressive lineup. From May 1st to 12th, you can challenge Mega Houndoom. Mega Gyarados will follow from May 12th to 25th, and then Mega Altaria will take the stage from May 25th to June 3rd.

The "Growing Up" event will run from May 2nd to 7th, featuring a Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day on May 3rd. From May 10th to 18th, the "Crown Clash" event will take place, with a special Dynamax Suicune Max Battle Weekend on May 10th and 11th.
Community Day is scheduled for May 11th, though the featured Pokémon remains a mystery. "Crown Clash: Taken Over" will occur from May 14th to 18th, with a Shadow Raid Day on May 17th.
The "Final Strike: GO Battle Week" will run from May 21st to 27th, and the May Community Day Classic is set for May 24th. Pokémon GO will conclude the month with a Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day on May 25th, 2025.
