How Much to Upgrade Switch Games to Switch 2 Edition?
Nintendo has confirmed the cost of upgrading two more Switch games to the Switch 2 edition: Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Super Mario Party Jamboree. These upgrades are on the pricier side.
Upgrading The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom from the original Switch to Switch 2 costs $9.99. However, Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Super Mario Party Jamboree will cost more than double that amount. While precise U.S. prices are not yet available on the American Nintendo eShop, the UK eShop lists the upgrade pack at £16.99 / €19.99, significantly higher than the £7.99 / €9.99 charged for upgrading Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Switch 2: Game-Key Cards?
It's been revealed that nearly all physical third-party Nintendo Switch 2 games in Japan are Game-Key Cards, a trend that appears to be similar in the West. In the US, Sega's Switch 2 games, such as Sonic X Shadow Generations and Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut, are also Game-Key Cards. So far, only four third-party physical Switch 2 games are not Game-Key Cards: Cyberpunk 2077, Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion, Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, and No Sleep For Kaname Date - From AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES Aiba Edition.
Switch 2 Game Previews
IGN recently had hands-on experience with two of the most anticipated Switch 2 games, Donkey Kong Bananza and Mario Kart World, both available for preorder from today. Here's what our reviewers had to say about these launch titles.
Donkey Kong Bananza: "I also think Bananza is on track to be one of the most visually stunning Nintendo games I’ve seen. It truly leverages the Switch 2's hardware – the environments are breathtaking, and DK’s animations are incredibly expressive. It feels like the next generation of first-party Nintendo games has truly arrived."
Mario Kart World: "Mario Kart World feels like the quintessential Switch 2 launch game and will undoubtedly be one of the defining games of the Switch 2 generation. The new open-world format and Knockout Tour modes are significant additions to the franchise. The visuals are stunning, the gameplay is engaging, and we're eager to play more, though we wish it was a bit more affordable."
