Two exclusive WoW mounts, the Blazing Royal Fire Hawk and the Golden Ashes of Al'ar, are coming to World of Warcraft China. These mounts, reimagined versions of the rare Pureblood Fire Hawk and Ashes of Al'ar, will be available through special promotions starting January 15th.
The Blazing Royal Fire Hawk, reminiscent of the Pureblood Fire Hawk, features auspicious clouds within its wings while in flight, a nod to Chinese culture and symbolism. The Golden Ashes of Al'ar, a gilded version of the original, boasts a sleek black saddle and evocative flavor text referencing Kael'thas Sunstrider's iconic line: "The golden Al'ar, beloved pet of Kael'thas Sunstrider, proves that death is merely a setback."
These mounts are obtainable through separate promotions: the Blazing Royal Fire Hawk via a "Treasure Workshop" event (details pending), and the Golden Ashes of Al'ar from Landro's Loot Box, a ¥200 (~$27 USD) crate containing one of eight items, including other coveted rewards like the X-51 Nether Rocket X-TREME and the Swift Spectral Tiger. Group purchases offer bonus crates.
Currently, there's no indication these mounts will be released internationally, leaving players outside China to admire them from afar. The mounts will be usable in both modern and Classic WoW within China.
