Fans of the time-twisting RPG Reverse: 1999 have a lot to look forward to with the upcoming livestream on April 18th. This event will unveil exciting new content for the 1.5th anniversary and provide a sneak peek at version 2.5, titled 'Showdown in Chinatown'. This will be the first comprehensive look at what's coming in the next update.

The livestream will be uniquely hosted by Captain Regulus and the newly introduced character, Officer Liang Yue, both in charming chibi form. Viewers can anticipate exciting giveaways, including codes and a chance to win a Nintendo Switch 2.

While version 2.5 has already been revealed to Chinese players, the global audience will be thrilled to see the homage to Hong Kong martial arts movies in 'Showdown in Chinatown'. The narrative is set to be a gripping crime thriller focused on capturing an arcanist vigilante.

ytCharacter Insights Officer Liang Yue, armed with an array of martial arts techniques, will infiltrate the movie set of another new character, Noire. Noire, a wheelchair-bound perfectionist director, uses her unique ability to manipulate her ideal actors to combat enemies. Additionally, Loggerhead, a character with a camera for a head, will also make an appearance.

Although the specifics for international versions will be clarified during the livestream, fans can expect numerous nods to the iconic Shaw Brothers and John Woo in version 2.5.
