Released in March 2023, the Sony Bravia XR X93L stands as the second highest-end non-OLED TV in Sony's lineup, just below the X95L which was only available in an 85" screen size in the United States. The X93L utilizes Mini LED technology, which significantly enhances HDR content. Mini LED backlit panels feature an array of smaller and more numerous LEDs that can independently turn on and off, improving black levels and contrast ratio for a superior viewing experience.
The X93L is also an excellent choice for gamers. It comes equipped with four HDMI ports, two of which support HDMI 2.1 specifications. HDMI 2.1 allows for 4K output at up to 120Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for current-generation consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Note that the new Switch 2 will be limited to 60fps in 4K when docked, so HDMI 2.1 isn't necessary for that system.
