Zynga, publisher of Star Wars Hunters, has announced the game's complete shutdown just nine months after launch, with plans for a Steam PC version officially canceled.
The free-to-play team-based arena battler, developed by NaturalMotion, debuted on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android in June 2024. IGN's Star Wars: Hunters review scored it 7/10, noting: "This lighthearted PvP experience feels like a Death Star party - spectacular temporarily, but not somewhere you'd stay permanently."
This assessment proved prophetic as Zynga confirmed the final content update will launch April 15 across all platforms, with gameplay continuing until October 1, 2025.
