DC Studios has unveiled an exciting new trailer for the upcoming Superman movie, directed by James Gunn, set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. This three-minute glimpse offers a deeper dive into the film's rich ensemble of superheroes and supervillains.

The trailer showcases Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner / Green Lantern, effortlessly dispatching foes with a simple gesture. Isabela Merced takes flight as Hawkgirl, while María Gabriela de Faría impresses as The Engineer, who we see destroying robots in the Fortress of Solitude, including the beloved Kelex. This scene was teased in a previous trailer where a devastated Superman was seen cradling Kelex post-battle.

Adding to the action, Krypto the Superdog makes a dynamic entrance, executing a flying punch against The Engineer, demonstrating his fearless combat skills. The trailer also highlights Lex Luthor, portrayed by Nicholas Hoult, and the formidable Ultraman in action.

We get more screen time with Edi Gathegi's Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan's Rex Mason / Metamorpho. The Hammer of Boravia, a new character introduced by Gunn, suspected to be Ultraman in disguise, also makes a notable appearance as previously hinted in a teaser trailer.

The relationship between Clark Kent and Lois Lane is prominently featured, with Lois conducting an interview with Clark in his Superman persona. The conversation escalates into a heated argument over Superman's controversial decision to intervene in a war abroad, with Clark defending his actions as purely altruistic ("I wasn’t representing anyone except for me... and doing good!"). This leads to The Hammer of Boravia launching an attack on Downtown Metropolis in retaliation.

In another compelling scene, a member of the public aids Superman out of a hole in the ground during the battle with The Hammer of Boravia. This moment of support stands in stark contrast to other scenes where the public is shown reacting with fear and hostility towards Superman, even throwing objects at him.

This trailer not only builds anticipation for the film but also sets the stage for the complex dynamics and high-stakes action that fans can expect from Gunn's vision of Superman.
