Terminator 2D: No Fate Delayed, Proving That Not Even Skynet Is Safe From Tariffs

Terminator 2D: No Fate, the latest retro title merging iconic moments from Terminator 2: Judgment Day with fresh narratives and multiple endings, has faced another postponement, now set for November 26, 2025.

It seems Skynet isn't exempt from trade tariffs either; publisher Reef Entertainment announced the shift in a short blog entry, noting that global trade fluctuations and new duties delayed component shipments for both Day One and Collector's Editions, pushing the launch back from October 31.

"Since we are dedicated to releasing all versions simultaneously, this updated date covers physical and digital editions globally," Reef added. "We sincerely thank you for your patience and understanding regarding this further delay. Our team is working diligently to ensure your wait pays off, and we look forward to presenting Terminator 2D: No Fate to everyone this November."

In Terminator 2D, players assume the roles of Sarah Connor and the T-800 as they strive to thwart Skynet's plans before humanity faces extinction. The game will arrive on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and previous-generation consoles. Originally scheduled for September 5, it was previously pushed back to late October.

Back in June, IGN revealed that Bitmap Bureau developers located the actor who portrayed future war John Connor in 1991 to incorporate his likeness into the game, while also explaining Arnold Schwarzenegger's absence from the cast.
