This tier also offers a handful of free games each month. However, if you're a fan of PS Plus horror games, you might find the second and third tiers more appealing.
The Extra tier unlocks a vast library of hundreds of PS5 and PS4 titles, with around 15 new games added each month. Meanwhile, the Premium tier encompasses all the games available in the Extra tier, plus an extensive collection of classic titles from PS3, PS2, PS1, and PSP. Sony's service caters to a wide range of genres, ensuring that there are dozens of games to suit most players' preferences, including a robust selection of horror games that rank among the best on the subscription service.
Updated January 5, 2025 by Mark Sammut: The December 2024 lineup for PS Plus Extra and Premium did not include any new horror games, so fans will have to rely on the existing catalog. Unfortunately, Resident Evil 2 is set to leave the service on January 21, 2025, which is a significant loss for the genre. On the bright side, its campaigns are short enough that completing at least one before its departure is feasible. Fortunately, Resident Evil 3 will remain available.
As no new horror titles were added, a new section has been included to highlight other PS Plus games that might appeal to horror enthusiasts.
